Medicine Wheels, or sacred hoops, were constructed by laying stones in a particular pattern on the ground. Most medicine wheels follow the basic pattern of having a center of stone(s), and surrounding that is an outer ring of stones with "spokes", or lines of rocks radiating from the center. |

Directions to the Park: approximately 1.5 miles north of Ridgway, turn west at RiverSage Drive. Follow the road down across the bridge, and park in the lot on the right. R.V. turn-around available. The entrance to the park is marked by a sign "Dennis Weaver Memorial Park," but you will see the Eagle as you cross the bridge. |
